required to pay a yearly fee of $30.00 to belong to our Association. An active umpire means that their dues has been
paid for the year in progress. As a member of our Association, it is incumbent upon each umpire to be aware of not
only the rules for Major League Baseball but also American Legion Baseball and NH American Legion Baseball. Please
find the links above for all rules which govern our NH Legion Baseball program. Thanks too all for your participation.
There shall be three (3) umpires hired for all District games for the senior program. There shall be two (2) umpires hired for all
District games for the junior and prep program. If only (1) umpire is available for the junior and prep program, the Game may be
played. (NOTE: Refer to 9.03 of the Official Baseball Rules):
Umpires hired for District games shall be members of the NH American Legion Baseball Umpires Association.
Non-members of the NHALBUA can be hired for non-district games. The parties involved determine fees for these umpires.
If an Umpire gets to a game and the game is cancelled by a rain-out before the first pitch, the Umpire will be paid a fee of $35.00.
Umpires are to be paid in full by the forfeiting team for games forfeited less than two hours prior to schedule start time. If a team
forfeits a game more than two hours before that game starts, the forfeiting team will pay umpires $50.00 each. If the game is forfeited
and the umpires have already arrived at game site, they will be paid the full umpire amount by the forfeiting team. Umpires will also
receive a $25 fee to re-start a suspended game and $10 per inning thereafter not to exceed fee of minimum amount for each program.
The new fee schedule was requested by our UIC and Asst. UIC. Most of our umpires are used to working two man crews. When it comes time for our
senior tourney, we revert to a three man crew which operates very differently than a two man crew. It has caused issues during our tournament.
Another factor is our aging umpire group. They felt by offering a three man crew for our senior program we would also get more umpires to work
for us and would benefit not only our regular season games but aide our umpires in preparation for the senior tournament. We shall try this in
2025 and see how it goes. The fee/umpire will be $75.00/game instead of $90.00/game. So each game will cost teams $45.00/game more.

DH 2- 7 inning games (one team playing two different teams) 150.00/umpire
Two umpires assigned for:
Junior Program:

Prep Program:
7 inning game 70.00/umpire
DH 1- 7 inning game and 1 - 5 inning game (same two teams) 125.00/umpire
